The
Bear Trap dates back to 1937. It has been a local
tradition for Northwoods vacationers for years... and has been
owned by 3 different families (including ours) since the 1950s.
We
are a family run restaurant and we
are known for our fresh steaks that all come from a local
purveyor in Antigo, WI. Carefully selected and aged for
tenderness, our steaks are cut thick to ensure juiciness
and seared to perfection. Topped with
fresh butter, the sizzling platter announces the arrival of a
fantastic steak you’ll be talking about for days.
The Garlic Stuffed Tenderloin
is our PRIDE AND JOY - and trademark entree. The
Garlic Stuffed Tenderloin is a beef tenderloin infused
with garlic and served with a homemade Cognac Mustard sauce.
We are also known for our fabulous, premium, cold-water Lobster
tails - and are famous Friday Night Walleye Fish Fry. (Our
Walleye is Canadian wild caught fish). As you can see, we
take pride in the fresh, quality ingredients we use. We
use high quality steaks, seafood, produce and make our food
fresh daily. This includes our entrees, sides, sauces, and
marinades. We are truly a unique dining experience in the
Northwoods - and we strive for a comforting, homelike
atmosphere.
The
interior surroundings provide a glimpse of the northwoods from
the past and many of our regular customers feel like family.
Our friendly, knowledgable staff pride themselves on great
